I’ve recently received an email from Ameli inviting me to order my CEAM to make things easier if I am ill abroad…
I am already the holder of the UK EHIC which doesn’t expire for a few years.
I’ve noticed on my Ameli page that there would be a message in red saying I don’t have the CEAM card yet !!! but, if I’ve ever dared to click the CEAM button (just to see what comes up) … a swift screen message has then always told me I’m not eligible! huh
Has something changed? Today, there’s a whole new response.. and Ameli seems ready to send me my CEAM asap !!! ???
Just checked and 70 appears in its usual place on the Attestation.
Oddly, my OH has not received any emails at all about this.
One good thing though, having dashed to look in my “travel bag” I now find that both our UK (WA) EHIC expired end November 2025.
Thankfully, not planning any more trips abroad and if we do “cross the water” to Corsica (it’s still France) our CV’s are sufficient… so no real panic. Phew
I think Amelie have been tweaking something in their data fill. Just used the app and my CEAM wasn’t showing in Mes Informations. Go to Mes Démarches and it’s there.
Go back to Mes Informations and it’s magaically back.
I’m guessing my Code Gestion being 89 is due to my relative youth and not being S1’d.
70 is not my age.. that number indicates that there is an International Convention which covers my Health Care
In my case the UK issued me an S1 and the UK is supposed to be charged by France for any medical/health bits and bobs which France pays on my behalf.
