I am contemplating buying a saab and registering here in France but now that Saab are no more was wondering if anyone had experiences of getting a coc for a car no longer made. I have checked the usual coc dealers and they no longer issue them for the marque,any thoughts please? Thanks Andrew.
For some reason it seems to be always thrown away with the cars I am looking at hence the need to know if I can get a coc elsewhere just in case. The car I eventually buy may have one in the book pack but I need a back up Plan if it doesnt.
like I said though if the car has a original handbook pack in its black zip cover there should already be a COC in there you just cut out the page !!!!! and present it with your CT and inport certificate at the prefecture

Par ailleurs , Le coût du présent document de 150€ pourra être réèglé soit pas Chèque ou par virement bancaire (RIB ) joint. Dans le cas d'un virement nous vous remercions de nous adresser une preuve du virement.

good news we have just registered our 2007 Saab 93 in France and just used the COC that is in the owner manual ...no problems all the info is on that even though it is in English ...our prefecture is Niort :)
Mmm,not sure a handful of cars sold within Sweden and to china with a few electric cars thrown in for good measure really count but I get your drift! I will contact them and see the response I get.
