My stylist reckons that it might be a challenge too far to create something like that for me!
Good call. Possibly, for the purpose of attaining more badges, it might be prudent to schmooz up to @Badger ?![]()
I liked the choice and genre of your ‘op ‘. Hence, the reason for my post. The link, if you or anyone else is at all interested, is family. The.38 Special vocalist, Donnie Van Zant is the brother of the vocalist of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the late Ronnie Van Zant who was tragically killed in the band’s air crash in Mississippi in 1977.
Thanks for your frankness and honesty. ![]()
Which leads to a convenient segue for this classic.![]()

He’s got a lot of neck!
Another vocalist/stickman (Taylor Hawkins) who met an untimely death.
Best to set aside some time for this one (18mins). How many of you guys and gals, whilst spotty faced teens, can relate to this? I can. ![]()
Oh, for the record (pun intended), the electric guitar accompaniment is by none other than the maestro himself, Jimmy Page!
I liked Al Stewart back in the day, must hunt out some of his stuff , thanks for the reminder.
A pleasure to help in restoring your memories.![]()
Always been a huge fan of Dire Straits and without them this rendition would never have materialized and seen the light of day, which would have been a travesty.
Here’s a Who’s Who of world rock from 1992 performing a Dylan Classic.
Neil Young’s still wearing the same shirt ![]()
And another all star line-up to enjoy.
Says it all
Well I thought it was.![]()
How about this then.
One the best live performance of any single ever recorded
Doctor: “You have 5 min before you die, any requests”?
Me: “Can I listen to Sultans of Swing, Alchemy Live one more time”?
Doctor: “But its 10min and 47seconds long”.
Grim Reaper: “I can wait”. ![]()
Brilliant, Leslie West is bonkers, Mountain were an underrated band.
This lot weren’t bad either…

Not forgetting Alvin’s namesake, Albert.
Talking of the Grim Reaper…………..apparently there’s nothing to fear.
It would now appear the Grim Reaper has reached his destination.
Hope I don’t end up here, as the chance of me meeting anyone I knew would be minimal.
You don’t see many ‘twin axes’ in use these days.
I really like a lot of the Frog Leap Studios covers. Favourites include You’ve Got To Fight (so much better than the original) Ballroom Blitz and his spoof cover of Footloose. Everything Leo does sounds great though, and is always full of humour.
