Our local insurance agency has given us quotes for Mutuelle cover.
This cover is under five categories
- Hospitalisation
- Soins Medicaux Courants
- Optique
- Dentaire
- Prevention
We’re told it’s a package deal - you take all categories or none. But is it maybe possible with other insurers to cherry-pick the categories you want ? In our case, not that interested in glasses/contacts reimbursement as it’s really cheap online…nor in getting anything much other than an annual flu jab (and not even sure that’d be covered…)
Appreciate that within the assorted categories, the cover as described is set in stone, and wouldn’t want to change any of that.
Different Mutuelle providers offer different packages and options. Use one of the online comparison sites for an idea of what’s available. Or contact @fabien via SF.

Yes it’s possible to cherry-pick your cover, we did just that with MACIF.
As Simon says, @fabien will be able to help you find the best cover and will also be able to help with other assurances as well.

I would be wary of any online comparison sites that ask you to give a phone number. We used one and were completely deluged by phone calls from sales people, and it went on for months. Still happens but only rarely now.
Just give an incorrect number!
