Clic Doccccccc

The earliest rdv with a doc via clic doc was the 25th of November. This morning got a text with a link to get an earlier one. Obviously with my steam telephone I couldn’t click the link so waited the 5 minutes it took for the allied email to arrive. New rdv on the 13th. Great, clicked verify, only to find out someone else had nipped in and nabbed it.

I didn’t realise they sent these offers to multiple people at the same time.

I suspect everyone who’s asked for a cancellation gets it and it’s a race to see who takes it first. It’s similar on Doctolib.

Yes, but you’d think that they’d give you chance to reply, I reckon there was less than a minute between the arrival of the email and my acceptance.

I’ll probably die on the 14th, that’ll teach ‘em. :joy:

Doctorlib were even worse, they gave away rdvs even after acceptance and confirmation while I was filling in their endless form, twice.

I’ve given up even looking at cancellations that Doctolib offer - I don’t think I’ve ever got to one in time :frowning:

Applied for a rdv for Doc via Dr Lib first week of Oct & told first available was 5th Jan 2026.

Thought I was in the UK.

Good news is that another vacancy came up for the 13th a few moments ago and I managed to get in before the opposition. :joy:

Well done David!!!

I hope that was for a specialist and not the standard wait for your MT :scream:

It was for a MT but the one I see retired about a year ago & there seems to be only a variety of of locums now. Trying to find another but not easy.

regards

I have, but sheer luck!

Oh dear - that is tricky! When I was first looking or an MT, one of the neighbours mentioned the one she’d just seen, with a comment along the lines of “she’s young- she’ll see me out!”

Finding a new oneis terribly difficult. Fingers crossed for you @Toovey27

The one I am booked to see is the one I saw last, neither my normal one but by using clicdoc I just went for her as the soonest available.

We’ve had success on several occasions. Have to be quick

Didn’t have too long to wait at the doc this morning but she appeared appalled that I wasn’t given a follow up rdv after the heart attack and gave me a note to ring the hospital and get a rdv. With my hearing problems I was straight down to Christine who I was going to check on anyway. She is much better on the phone than me but she was kept hanging on no less than 4 times for ten minutes in the space of one hour.

I have a different set of medicaments to take which doesn’t include the one the dentist wanted me to stop for a few days before my next rdv there. The doc was not in agreement. That is all I need, bloody medics of different hues falling out over me.

But there was some success, Christine managed to get hold of a nurse to come to my house on Saturday to give me a blood test.

I’ve got a couple of weeks to work out what to do about the dental dispute, keep on mithing my thoo fwont teeth, or bleed to death when he whips the snapped off one out.

Nurse came this morning as promised and took my blood and already just now I have printed off the results. 5 whole pages of them.

Only read the highlights and obviously don’t know what to make of them but it would seem to me that at each mention of Cholesterol, my result is lower than both the ‘valeurs de reference’ and my last readings.

I am hoping that is a good thing but then the last results I got before my heart attack gave a similar apparently hopeful result, and look what happened then.

So I really need explanations and I suppose the next step is to book another doc visit for that.

Yes you need to discuss with your doctor. But in preparation see if anything is out of range (usually in bold typeface) by more than 10% over or under. If so, you then you can look at what that particular test is all about on this website

And the use deepl to translate your question on that into French

Wow that’s really useful Jane, thank you. I’ll settle down and check it all tomorrow when I get back from the market.

Well in the whole 5 pages I have only 3 items flagged up, heavy type and an *.

Hematies which I think is red blood cell count, below the reference (4.08 against 4.60 so that is down, even on my last test which was 4.37.

TCMH (anybody know what that is?) above ref. (33.7 against 27 to 32) but slightly above last time at 33.3

Total Cholestoral 1.15, ref 1.60-2.30 thus lower also lower than last time at 1.73

So to my untotored eye, not a bad result unless I am running out of blood and the mysterious TCMH means I am on the brink of extinction.

Time to start clicking the doc again I think. Pretty sure she will have a copy herself too.
