We have been plagued for the last three weeks by an asian speaking supposedly microsoft engineer trying to tell us that we have downloaded a virus recently,
This has been going around for sometime but how can someone that is unsuspecting block these nuisance calls. After ringing us four times in one day I informed them that I work for microsoft security and I think they now have the message, I am sure someone will fall for these scrupulous people
Have a good w/end
I was reading an Ian Rankin Rebus story several weeks back at the very moment when we got the last one of those calls. It inspired me. So, I put on an Inspector Clouseau accent and answered that I am Inspector Molinaire who lives with the owner of this house. Could I have more information? Would he like to leave his name and a number for me to call back from my police station... That was the end of those cold calls.
They have been up on here before. It is a good question, but the unsuspecting are those they get. Try as any of us may, this scam will continue because there is no perfect way of letting anybody know.
