Contacting Les Impots

We left France last October so presume we still have to do last year’s tax declaration. Unfortunately no post has been forwarded to us from our last address and I have lost the precious box file with all my relevant papers, Siret numbers, passwords etc in it so have no information to log onto my espace personale…I had an email saying that I could do my impots on line and with a number to ring in case of problems, which needless to say just gives me a recorded message telling me that they are open at such and such times - which included all the times I have rung. Ditto the number for Tresoerie in Confolens. Tried emailing but it bounced back. Any ideas?
I am tearing my hair out. I wake in the night picturing my box file but have turned the place upside down and not found it :frowning:

If you are replying to the email you received… and it keeps bouncing back… it is quite possible that you are replying to one of those automated thingies… which normally do say (don’t reply to this email).

If you cannot find the email address for your local Tax Office… try your main Tax Centre…

Phoning can work… although a bit haphazardly at the moment… with staff shortages in some areas. I was lucky and got through on my second attempt… but after that time …no luck at all. I’m now working with them by email.

ghastly to have lost your info… fingers crossed

I didn’t just reply to their email, I went to the “contact by email” on the website. Off to work away from home tomorrow. Was hoping to sort it before I go. I do at least have my book of invoices to work from. I didn’t want to move back to England but I have to say under the current circumstances I am glad to be here. OH’s business (exhibitions) is on hold but I do live in care, for which I used to fly over from France, which obviously I wouldn’t have been able to do were we still there. I dread to think what our state would be now!

Fair enough… I can only give advice from what I know…

funnily enough I took a phone call from someone who is worried as they have not received a paper copy to complete this year… and they too haven’t had any joy via telephone or email…

turns out they were emailing the government site and not their local impots office.

I found their local tax office was Nontron… and thus

sip.nontron@dgfip.finances.gouv.fr

is the contact email address… they should be using.

does this bear any resemblance to the email address you are using ??? (obviously not the same town)

You can find your siren by searching on infogreffe.fr. That might be enough to allow you to reset your password.

Amazing! I got an automated reply from the tax office. Full of hope! Phoning is exasperating. Cut you off as too busy.
