Sarah Beattie is the author of six cookery books which have been published around the world. Her first, NEITHER FISH NOR FOWL – Meatfree Eating for Pleasure was published to critical acclaim by Little, Brown after her success in BBC TV’s MasterChef. Her 30 Minute Vegetarian series for Thorson’s was also published in the US by Ecco Press (now also a HarperCollins imprint) and SMOOTHIES & JUICES has been endlessly reprinted including editions in India and Australia. She has written for many national newspapers and magazines and has produced several recipe collections for a major supermarket. She has appeared on national and regional television and radio. She lives in Gascony and has set up a cookery school and is starting an organic potager. A long time organic gardener, she is keen to encourage people to eat according to the season, making the most of any month's harvest. She seeks to celebrate the wealth of produce and to salute the small local growers, farmers and dairies. As a mother and grandmother, she believes passionately in passing on a love of good food and cooking to all. She wants everyone to share in the pleasures of the table.
