Creative? Who, me?

Wondering why I am going crazy by the thought of being a stay-at-home-mom for the years to come? Well, one answer could be this:

I do not possess any, none, zero, nunca, of the skills that other moms (well, at least the ones you find online) seems to possess.

But darn it, I have time to spend and my toddler is not going to miss out - so I am going all in anyway!

First horse head (to be put on broom stick):

Second horse head ON broom - made with toddler:

Ha - at least it can only get better ...

Carol - perfect. That's exactly how to look at it! Love things that be used without fearing them breaking ...

Tracy - you are too kind thinking that even one looks a bit like a horse. I am looking forward to hear more from your experiences.

Valerie - hahaha ... a long time? No. That cannot be said.

What a good idea with both the canvas and the puddle-bubbles. The toddler is really into jumping in puddles these days. In all honesty, I am too! Everybody should do it on rainy days ... after two puddles your mood is ten times better.

I don't have a creative bone in my bod either but I am impressed. It looks like you spent a lot of time too with all those little fiddly bits. One 'artistic' thing we did manage when Twerp was about 6 was we went up on the roof (don't worry -flat roof in those days) with some old tins of paint and a large canvas. Our masterpiece now hangs pride of place in the salon. Lots of green and orange streaks that some eejit would probably spend €500 on in a gallery if he didn't know its origins. Now the rainy season is about to hit with a vengeance, nip outside with your waterproofs on and put some washing up liquid in a puddle so the rain can make bubbles.

Second one looks more like a horse and they are both better than anything I can do so well done. When October is over I'll share my tales of hating being a stay at home mum! Right now I'm a working mum of two kids age 6 and 9 with not a moment to breathe but wouldn't have it any other way.

Love it, and I'm sure your toddler will too.... and you won't worry if he breaks anything you make, cos you'll know how to mend it!!! xxx
