Since Sunday, I have been tearing my hair out, trying to make YouTube work.
This morning OH, came off his “deathbed” and discovered this site

Seems it wasn’t my imagination, after all… 
At the time we viewed the site, France was glowing bright red… 
Thankfully, back to normal now… 
wierd i watch you tube nearly every day and havnt experienced any issues. and currently watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnhNA3DoVXU on another screen without issue
been watching lots of cant pay we wil ltake it away
Your bit of France was obviously unaffected… lucky you.
Seems we were not alone… no-one in our commune could get YT for quite some time… some complained via various sites, other (like us) presumed it was the computer playing up.
I was edgy, as it was right in the middle of sorting out an Occitan carol for December 2018… I had heard it, found the words… went back to YouTube to check words against music… but … NO… Nothing !!! Arrrgh…
sounds like it was internet related in your area possibly.

It was certainly a major happening…the map of France was mostly bright orange (problems)…showing just how great the area affected.
If you click on the listing on the lefthand side " 22 january 134 reports" … then look at the map, you will see what I mean…
yes that might be the reason im just looking at the comments. seems mobile connect access was working fine it was home users using fixed lines that were having issues. atm im operating from my 4g phone.
maybe youtube updated some browser codes or something but seems to be all resolved now
