Does anyone know a good immigration attorney

I’m looking to change my visa type and want some guidance. Preferably the attorney will speak English as well as French. I’m close to B1 with French now, but that’s not enough for this type of conversation!

I don’t think you need to pay for an attorney, but process advice. Paying for legal advice really only necessary for appeals against rejections etc. Plenty of Americans have done this, so you just need to find one to tell you how they did it.
And there are Americans in the forum who might pop up.

Presumably you are already in France and changing the type of CdS you have, not a visa.

I agree, you probably do not need an attorney.

My wife entered France on a VLS-TS visiteur, then changed to spouse of EU citizen.

In the ANEF website she selected this button, and just followed the procedures.

‘‘Je declare un changement de situation’’

From there I think you will find the possible options. If you have specific questions along the way, you can email you prefecture for guidance.
