There is so much wrong with health provision in the US - the insane cost of insulin is another scandal. This morning I was reading a well-argued op-ed piece in the NY Times that Trump wants to scrap ‘Obama Care’ and replace it with some vague alternative ‘that will be much better’. The writer’s conclusion was that it was nothing to to do with health care, cos Trump doesn’t care, and all to do with his desire to erase the legacy of his predecessor.

Even 10 years ago, when spice was being morphed into all sorts of other things, legislation was failing to keep up with the changing composition of synthetic drugs. It’s even more tricky now.

I’ve noticed that a new aspect of the drug problem is being aired in French media. Forged prescriptions, possibly supported by stolen Carte Vitales, and over prescription by health professionals. I have just experienced the latter.I had a hernia operation recently and was given a prescription for enough painkillers to sink a battleship. I took just 4 tablets. And then only as a precaution. I have unopened packets of meds which will end up being destroyed. Latest estimates are that significant amounts of taxpayers money are being wasted.
Both sides of the chanel. I was given a huge number of morphine tablets after an opp. Unopened they were handed back to the hospital and destroyed.
I was given a load too for my feet. Took tramadol for one day and binned the rest they were so strong and one other sort I took back to the pharmacy unopened as they were even stronger and came with a dire warning not to take longer than three days. Kept all the Doliprane though.
I’m one of those people for who Tramadol has no effect. It does literally nothing. I know some people for whom it is very strong and can send them a bit loopy.
You don’t have to fill the whole prescription at once. You just ask fot what you think you need, and return if you need more.
It knocked me out, never slept so much so my son took them away in case I got to like them as I am someone who never takes anything unless its the very last resort. Even tooth problems I only took Southern Comfort to numb the pain as I love it.
