Some good news - most of Trump’s legal team fighting a Pennsylvania case quit - the judge has denied any delay to hire new ones.

Ours is Cremant de Bourgogne from Stephane Duchamps in Lucenay in the Beaujolais.
It is made from Chardonnay grapes grown nearer to Lyon, so they are more complex than their northern neighbours, but the wine is made in 71, so it can be called Cremant de Bourgogne.
Morover, as we have been buying it for many moons we get at at a preferential price and delivered.

We now have a Democratic Party and an anti-democratic party.

Yes, it is important not to forget that the real election of the next President does not take place until December 14th when the Electoral College meets.

I think that the GOP have been anti-democratic for a while.

I also suspect that many really do think that it is “God’s own Party”.

something about not shooting the messenger here…

It is an interesting lesson to all majority Caucasian countries where what they see as their heritage and values is under threat by non-white races and religious affiliations soon to become a majority in their country.
It shows the necessity of integration, on both sides so that the population feels that they belong to the same nation and its values.

Trump has sacked almost anyone he can’t bend to his will since the election, I don’t think the risk of coup is low enough yet to stop worrying.

Yes, though I suspect the irony of white Americans worrying about their country being overrun by darker skinned immigrants will be lost on most of them.

Many native Americans are running Casinos on their tribal lands and are very rich indeed, whilst others not in reach of major cities are very poor.

I don’t think it matters that some are rich - many, probably the vast majority, are poor and have unequal (i.e worse) access to healthcare, education and employment.

I missed out that Trump is firing everyone who does not agree with him, but as he has only a short time to go it is becoming increasingly apparent that working with Trump is a poisoned chalice and harmful to a career after he is ousted from The White House.

I guess the homeland security guy was the main post-election one - but Trump has a habit of getting rid of dissenters.

Yes, for decades it has been getting worse and worse, and is now more blatant than ever.

The indoctrination is total.

you forgot - Trumps signature was on 150 million cheques for $1200…
helping with the first wave of Covid restrictions. People are gullible and
he has used that to his advantage in all his business dealings. It eventually bites
him in the a…
Now that he lost the election he will not sign for any program helping - on the
contrary. Should congress and Senate come to an agreement he will probably
not sign it off. Millions of un employed American will lose extra help after
Christmas.

The county we live in was the land of the Klallam, Makah, and Quileute peoples, and they run a few casinos, but most live in poor conditions, and their traditional way of life is no longer possible (though they do have some special rights as native Americans). Their histories are very interesting, and it is incredibly sad how these proud peoples were overrun and their land plundered. It’s heartbreaking.

That’s the big problem. It’s maddening! And many of those same people believe that the pandemic is a hoax.

It seems quite a few continue to believe this even after they have contracted Covid and some take the belief to their deathbeds.

They are true believers.

I think you spelt fuckwits wrong

Public schools are to blame. At some point in the past, critical thinking was removed from the curriculum. When I hear that some americans want to remove ‘arabic’ numbers from being used in schools I want to cry. Watching these surveys I never know if it is another Borat film or 'real footage.
