I've been reading a bit about electric cars of late. The technology has come on a bit making them a viable option for some, depending on your needs. The French Belloré, for example, (or Bluecar, as used for the Autolib car sharing in Paris) has a range of 250km and will set you back €12,000 plus €80pm for the battery.
The French govt is also offering some seemingly attractive subsidies (up to €10,000 if you have a 13 year old plus diesel car) but I've not looked into the details.
I don't think an electric car would suit our usage (without careful, and probably impractical, pre-planning for recharge points) but I can see they'd work for others.
Has anyone got one? Or looked into getting one?
