English Speaking Notary Department 16

A couple of week ago, I requested info on LHD cars to purchase, and thanks to all of you who provided information. So since that worked really well, here is another challenge, which hopefully someone can provide a solution


We will be in the Department 16, north of Angouleme in a couple of months, and require a Notary within +/- an hour drive of Angouleme, who can represent my wife and I when we buy a property later in the year. Can anyone recommend an English speaking Notary or propose an alternative idea?

Hello Byron

I am too far away to help but you could always use a french notaire and a translator.

I have translated numerous contracts, signed on behalf of clients and interpreted when my clients come over for meetings.

No notaire in my area speaks English so my clients have preferred the 'translation' route to using an English speaking notaire whose offices a long way away.
