Partly because they were lied to, mostly because they were told we’d kick all the “immigrants” out.

Well they should think a bit harder.
I certainly blame the British people.
I’ve lived in France, and I also worked for a French company in London for many years. I think that it’s best not to generalise with this sort of thing. I met many French living in London who loved it. People will always like some things, but not other stuff. It’s never straight forward.
