So, the true art of a Trump deal is clobber the other side, and then clobber them again. The only way to discourage that is for the cloberee to refuse to be clobbered. As Iran has shown. Then Trump doesn’t know what to do.
The purpose of the diesel reserves is to smooth supply, not manipulate prices. The experts seem to be saying that if Trump had banned exports it would have backfired on hm. He should have been left to stew. Though I suppose he would have then said the high gallon prices was Europe’s fault.
Totally agree, a like simply does not do it justice, but you get one anyway.
I can’t believe that I would ever be cheering for such an outrageous religious dictatorship as Iran, but I have been over these past few months.
Brings back fond memories of the '60s and the outrage at Kennedy and Johnson and the glory of the panicking helicopters over the Saigon US Embassy. Less fun was defending myself against aggressive Australian servicemen who felt betrayed by their masters and whose drunken automatic response was against everyone ‘at home’. They could not believe that I was in agreement with them, and felt their pain and outrage. No problem with the young Yank boys in Sydney, they just knew they had been forced to a horrible, and so often fatal political cockup.
As you can see, it effects me today.
An old man ruminates on the past, the future is another country. Glad I ain’t going there.
Thanks for that, Spardo!
Future is another country > Past is a foreign country > LP Hartley > What else did he write? >
