You’ll be fine for short term and unless some hard black and white facts arrive that we can all show the CT centres refusing to accept the “law”, then it sounds like a typical french case by case basis. So dumb.

If all other points are fine and even better you are able to fit new headlights yourself then it may well be worth the expenditure on conforming headlights…I seem to remember that European headlights for my 2002 Volvo cost me around €350…I didn’t know how to fit them so took my car to my local family run garage…best decision ever…I have friends for life there…x
