Farm/Small holding wanted in North Dordogne

Hi, this is our first post and the result of utter frustration with agents etc! In a nutshell we are looking for a farm or small holding with a good sized house plus other buildings that are converted or could possibly be converted, for me the more land the better (we are farmers) but ideally 10 acres upwards.

We can find plenty of good properties to look at but none within our desired area around Verteillac in the North Dordogne - we will still consider elsewhere but after plenty of exploring have really taken to the area.

So if you are selling or no of a property that may be suitable, any condition as projects dont phase us!

Thanks Nick

Hi Nick, I think you need to look at www.leboncoin.fr this site lets you select your desired area down to village name, private and agents post on it and at the moment there are 2 possible farms that look like they fit your requirements. Good luck Vicky.

Hello Nick

Have you looked at www.frenchland.com

This is the English translation of the safer site.

Good luck

Hi, thanks for this, we have actually seen this property. Nick

Ah, no likey? i have no axe to grind as it is not my property. My point was that by going to the green acres website there is plenty for sale in verteillac, so there is no need to compromise.

Two km outside your chosen area and 5acres of land. http://www.green-acres.com/en/properties/4732a-11500.htm

Hi, yes it's a bit of a long drive - we go back and forth from Lourdes to Stansted. Best of luck with your search. Neil

Thanks Dan but we really do want to be up in the areas listed. Nick

Hi Nick,

Maybe this one http://www.allez-francais.com/property/D7727 - 27 acres, two lakes and fully fenced.

I will keep an eye out for you,

Dan

Hi Dan, sorry but the wrong area for us, also we are looking for something more similar to a farm rather than a property with stables etc.The following pointers from our original listing are the critical parts "In a nutshell we are looking for a farm or small holding with a good sized house plus other buildings that are converted or could possibly be converted, for me the more land the better (we are farmers) but ideally 10 acres upwards".

Thanks Nick

Hi Nick

Maybe I can help...I have two properties that might suit

http://www.allez-francais.com/property/D7910 - five hectares for €340k

or http://www.allez-francais.com/property/D7795 5.5 hectares and lake for €345k

Have PM'd you too,

Dan

Nick email me at norman@frenchblat.com. The system messenger only allows 200 words, and I ran out!

Nick, I'll send you more details once I have them, everything is a bit fresh (my brother-in-law died of cancer a couple of weeks ago and farmed three different farms (as well as being président of veau d'aveyron amongst other political engagements) and we're not quite sure what my sister-in-law is going to do but she's already spoken f selling one near Baraqueville). Sorry I can't be any more precise at the moment. Andrew.

Hi Neil, it looks fantastic but I fear a little too far south for us, we are going to be shooting back and forth to the Uk (by road) a fair bit so need to keep that in mind. But thanks anyway. Nick

Hi Andrew, yes please send the info, its an area we do not know but am always willing to look. Nick

Hi Cheryl, first I have seen of it so thanks for the pointer. Nick

Thanks Peter, I will follow it up. Regards Nick

Hi Norman, what price do you have? Nick

Hi John, many thanks for the message. Yes I am interested and will drop you a more detailed email in due course. Thanks Nick

Thanks Helen, I will do some digging. Kind regards Nick
