Farm/Small holding wanted in North Dordogne

Hi Dave, I am confused by your comment, are you replying to mine or in response to another? Nick

From what I can see looks"nice". What I always want to know up front is size of house and the amount of land, neither of which you mention.

Hello Nick

How good is your French? This is down the road and being advertised on the French equivalent of ebay, "Bon Coin".

Here is a link http://www.leboncoin.fr/ventes_immobilieres/678242507.htm?ca=2_s

Not sure how low down North Dordogne is, so here is a link to a local estate agent near to us Montpon-Menesterol/Mussidan area

Good luck

Our house, Lahon, would be ideal - we are to the south, 20kms north of the city of Pau. Read all about it at:

contact the local safer, Nick. Who ever you buy from, they will have to "OK" the sale (if no local farmers want the land) but also act as agents for agricultural properties/farms. see here ;-)

PS, I can point you to land in the aveyron for sale (family) possibly upto 100 hectares, certainly 60 hectares

Hi, have you seen this site ? http://www.greenshifters.co.uk/for_sale places for sale with land

You may wish to speak to Richard Morford of Allez-Français (www.allez-francais.com)

Based in the area, he has a selection of approaching 100 properties. Peter E

Nick, we have what you're looking for but in the Loire Valley. Look at http://www.frenchblat.com

Hi Nick,

You might look at the service which I offer. Lived in North Dordogne for nearly 9 years now and helped many expats to relocate. I do not sell properties and have no portfolio but help people to find the right place. http://dordogne-correze-properties.com/ John.

Send Martin Sheach a message via SFN and he may well be able to help / know of something as he deals in equestrian properties (i.e ones with land!) Good luck!

Hi Catherine, my wife does back here and may well have one or two in France, we are not looking to relocate but set up a 2nd home. Nick

Hi Nick

Have you got horses? (There is a point to my question - not just being nosy!!)

ps thanks for sorting the name so quickly!

Hi Dave, good job we are all different. Its the landscape of the North D that appeals. Budget of around nil to 500,000 euros.

Nick - you need to reinstate your surname please as per our T&C's. Thank you.

How people are so different. Literally this weekend moved from Riberac, bit like the back of beyond just a a bit further, back to Languedoc Roussillon. I found the whole of the north Dordogne pretty depressing. Unemployment is way above the national average and it shows, though money for 20 fags does not seem a problem! As like in lots of France a decent estate agent should be treated like a national treasure. Finally you never stated what your budget is.

Hi there we have just decided to sell our farm in Limousin in an area that is renowned for its fertility. We run a successful farm/butcher business from the internet and deliveries we do once a month. We have a herd of British cows and an Aberdeen Angus bull. We have just secured the sale of every animal that becomes ready from a French butcher who will pay good money and come and collect from our local abattoir! So all you need to do is move in and take it over! We haven't started advertising but thought we'd find the wanted ads first. If you are interested please feel free to phone me on 0645513458 and we can answer any of your questions.
