Lovely weather! But in case anyone was in need of a new year pick-me-up, I was wondering if anyone had any great ideas for things to do in the PC over the winter months. Discovered a fab museum? Or a great walk? Or something else you really enjoyed? I recently when to the abbey at saint savin to see the lovely frescoes. Have lunch before or after and it’s a really enjoyable day out.

Futuroscope are offering half price admission from the 12th of Feb for residents of the Vienne (proof needed at the kiosk). The evening "spectacular" is good.

I recently went on a free bus-trip from Vitalis buses in Poitiers…it was a great afternoon and evening and I never would have beleived so much could be interesting about one commune of Poitiers…they had one trip each month in a different commune. The tour was led by a theatre group which made it very entertaining. These tours are available often apparently but I don’t know where from yet… well worth a try even if you have to pay I’d say
