Festiv'arz

Got bored waiting for Orange who didn’t show (thought it odd to get an appointment on a bank holiday) so came over to Arzal instead.

Bagpipes are an instrument that I can enjoy, but only in fairly small doses. Of all the Celtic pipes Scottish are probably my least favourite and Breton pipes the sound I like the most. The thirty minutes or so this afternoon were just about perfect in terms of duration.

We didn’t stay long which was a pity, No 1 son did a teenage sulk

Sorry, but I find the sound of bagpipes more irritating than nails on a chalkboard…:zipper_mouth_face:

You can “mute” this thread… and not be irritated/tortured or whatever…:wink::grin:

I sort of start out with Stella and drift towards Chris’s position with increased exposure, ten minutes of Scottish pipes usually does it, Breton pipes take a couple of hours.

All a matter of taste Paul, (as the Bull said ) I think the Breton Pipes, in fact any, other than Scottish Pipes, a pretty Miserable Substitute, Personally, but there U Go
