Is there any source of information which tells you (a) where the doctors are in your area and (b) which are most likely to take on patients?
I have no idea of an “official” source… but our Mairie is a font of information.
Perhaps because we are a small commune and out in the sticks… they seem to know what’s going-on and are keen to help their residents…
I have personal experience of their “going that extra mile” to find a Doc for a new Brit in dire need…

Have you tried contacting the doctors directly? that sometimes helps. Yellow pages or telephone book, even Google.
And maybe look for a group practice. That’s the way it’s going round us and it’s easier for a group of doctors to take on more patients. Single practices with the doctor on their own they can just literally get to the point where they can’t take any more.
