Has anyone else noticed a massive diminution of fireflies during the past couple of years?
There’s a street lamp below our garden and I remember how just a few years ago there would be a seething cloud of firelies below the lamp. This evening there are nine, even though both sides of the Lot immediately in front of our house are uncultivated zones - and there aren’t any pesticides used for several kilometres along the river
