Ugh! Just checked, still testing positive for Covid, after a week.
Urgh how disagreeable, get well soon ![]()

Sorry to hear that, is the test line at least a bit fainter? First time I had COVID, my initial test was so strong that very little colour appeared on the control line because so much was captured by the test line. Second test a few days later was weakly positive, viral load having dropped a lot.
Youâre right AM, the test line was fainter. In fact for a moment I thought there wasnât going to be a line at all. I tested because I no longer feel ill. Donât feel well yet though and get tired very quickly.
Youâre on your way back from COVID Sue, another 2 days at a guess and hopefully a negative test, howâs hubby doing?
Hereâs the queue to get the flu jab at Wonersh surgery yesterday morning (not my photo). ![]()
We went out to Sainsburyâs first thing and the village was a log-jam of cars looking for somewhere to park.
Age before beauty ![]()
Itâs only available on the NHS for over-65s unless you have a relevant health condition.
Everyone else can buy one if they want from a pharmacy for ÂŁ15-ÂŁ22.
I have an invite, not yet 65 but not far off (weeks)
A mere childâŚ
In mind certainly
but I am happy to let older folks get their jabs before me, I am at very little risk compared to them.
The wonderful thing here is you just walk into a pharmacy with your letter from Ameli and they do it there and then or a wait of a few minutes until the jabber is free from serving in the shop. No appointment needed.
Same at our local pharmacy.
I think UK pharmacies do NHS jabs as well, so Iâm not really sure why so many people decided to all come to the surgery at once yesterday morning. In previous years they have given you a time slot, so unless they have abandoned that and said âjust come in anytime on Saturday morningâ it seems pointless to queue up. Last year i had mine done at the pharmacy and I just walked in and they sorted me without having to wait.
I am moving to Cornwall on Thursday so shall get mine done down there.
Our surgery has time slots, always on a Saturday and spread throughout the day, we were in and out, no waiting.
Good luck with your move Chris and your new life ![]()
Not quite like that here as only one pharmacist does jabs, and I think the phials come in batches of 8. So you have to book, but only a day or so wait.
Permanently ? ![]()
I took it for two days to beat an inflammation. A tooth then got very heat/cold sensitive. Is this connected?
Yes, my mother is now in a care home so I am moving in with my partner Di. She lives in St Breward on the edge of Bodmin Moor.
Congratulations on the move - hope it all goes well for both of you. From Rachel and Stuart ![]()
