Need a new fridge freezer as old one is just freezing everthing. On a combined fridge and freezer I normally opt for twin compressor models but thats not essential for a holiday home. Looking to replace our 70cm wide model.
Any suggestions for other shops?
We got ours from Ubaldi and happy enough

We use MDA for all white goods. Not bothered if not the absolute latest model since have to stock parts for 10 years now.
Boulanger has really poor after-sakes.

MDA looks interesting and in Tours its handy. I look around the back of the machines to see which ones are the same manufacturing facility despite a badge difference. Lots of class E and how some of those vary in power consumption.
But do you get the aftersales? Seen promo’s before but not stocking the same units over time they seem to be box shifting.

The fridge freezer and washing machine I bought from Intermarché many years ago have needed any after sales anything. Seriously though a couple of years I went shopping for a washing machine with a friend and she ended up buying it from a big supermarket. The salesman actually seemed to know what he was talking about, there was a good choice, the price was right and it got delivered and installed. Apparently it even sang or something when it had finished.
Ok, wont discount them.

If you buy from But don’t let them talk you into the extended warranty insurance. It’s a rip off.
Not had particularly good experiences with But or Conforama, although nothing to do with white goods. Boulanger are quite good, bought my new washing machine from there last year. I believe you can program the tune using the app. I’m thinking of going for Fast and Bulbous by Captain Beefheart, or maybe NEXT by the Sensational Alex Harvey band. Just the instrumental intro.What would you go for ?

It’s a bit plinky - so whatever you choose would have to survive that and also not drive you mad.
I turned mine off as I found the default cocktail music very annoying, but it didn’t sound too bad audio wise. May give it a go.
