Reading Jay Rayner’s profile of Rhodes from 2002 it suddenly becomes less of a surprise - sounds like he worked himself into an early grave.
I saw him once in Ste Foy la Grande. It was some time before I realised that the very tall man clad in immaculate dark bleue de travail unfolding himself from a 2CV was Dr. Miller. Quite an appropriate place to visit for a neurologist being the birthplace of Paul Broca.
