Gary Rhodes and Others R.I.P

A great chef bites the dust… and I feel as if I have lost a friend.

The whole family enjoyed watching his TV shows and his book is very well-thumbed.

Yes indeed. Sad times…

Seems it was unexpected

Just heard that on the news

Clive James now :frowning:

and Sir Jonathan Miller…

take care everyone… the grim reaper is amongst us…

Makes me smile to see this…

Reading Jay Rayner’s profile of Rhodes from 2002 it suddenly becomes less of a surprise - sounds like he worked himself into an early grave.

I saw him once in Ste Foy la Grande. It was some time before I realised that the very tall man clad in immaculate dark bleue de travail unfolding himself from a 2CV was Dr. Miller. Quite an appropriate place to visit for a neurologist being the birthplace of Paul Broca.
