Groundwater rising

You have really posh groundwater if it is tonic water, how convenient for those some afternoons!

Thank goodness, that really WOULD have been a disaster!

I may have to set up a bottling plant :tropical_drink:

Nicked my idea…

Apparently the ‘water’ only appeared a couple of months ago. There was a cold spell here in May but not winter temperatures. Weird!

I’m so glad that the cause of the dampness wasn’t some major/costly disaster…

Thanks Stella, I’m not quite ready to laugh about it yet but hopefully will be soon if nothing else appears!

Ooh, not nice! No nasty niffs here on arrival fortunately.

Just lucky, really…

Fortunately running water in all the sinks and showers and flushing all the toilets then leaving the windows open for a few hours did the trick.

Our cave under the gite gets water in it when we have heavy and prolonged rain.
We are 420 metres up.

We have springs running through our land. I thought of bottling it and calling it Eau d’Aux Tetes.

Jane, see earlier post re Del boy’s Peckham spring water!

Thanks to all for your helpful replies. The floor is still dry, lending weight to the evaporating tonic water theory!
