I was startled when she said the amount… and I reminded her that I had had “the works”… but, no… pleasant surprise as I was expecting to pay a lot more. 
I solved that problem by cutting my own hair. Now I do everyone’s. My husband loves it as it does save us money too.
I had a great cut recently - took a chance on choosing as I know none of the salons in town and have found a lovely lady hairdresser who seems to juggle 3 - 4 customers on her own.
I had to ring and cancel the original appointment as I was unwell and she remembered and asked if I was OK now. Then the cut was far better than I could find in the UK as all I wanted was a straight round bob and thats exactly what I got (in the UK I have had problems as they all want to “style” it. Needless to say I will be going back.
