Health Insurance at work

Hi,a friend of mine has been told that he has to sign up for a mutuelle through his employer and scrap his own mutuelle, his manager says that it is obligatory.I have not heard of this and can,t believe that it can be true, anyone any idea? Thanks.

When I worked here in the early eighties my employers nominated the mutuel, but they also paid for it.

Yes, and no. There are specific circumstances when you can refuse. This sets out options

Hi,that page is from 2024,this is new legislation ,so he has been told.

Has he asked to see a copy of the legislation they’re referring to?

No,i don,t think so.He has told them he wants to stick with his private policy which he and his wife have.

If it were me I would be asking to see whatever it is they’re basing their demands on. If it’s genuine, they should have no problem in producing it.

The only new legislation I am aware of extends the employer provided mutuelle to public sector worker, whereas previously just private.:.

However still exceptions available if low paid
