Can anyone recommend a good, cheap health insurance/mutuelle company and a rough idea of costs for a family of 4. Is there any relief for permanent medication required?

Hi Suzi, we pay around 120 euro a month for 4 with Axa. It all depends on your level of coverage, ours includes optical, dental etc.Also covers non-conventional fees up to 400% which is important if you need hospital treatment & the surgeon is not simply classed as 100% conventionne(the government base).
It's not as easy as choosing the cheapest as in France you pay a share of nearly everything so check your coverage carefully. Benefits are referred to as forfaits in France for reference.
