Many years ago when I was a student I wanted to go travel and work on a kibbutz, it is one of things I never achieved opting for the European inter-rail scheme instead. However in our experiences in France and the change of life style, lack of cash and, more importantly, not enough hours in a day we discovered that we could be the hosts of something similar and give the chance of voluntary work here in France. We were told about this by friends that live the “self sufficient” lifestyle and they use volunteer work to help them progress and develop their home.
All that is asked is a place to sleep, this can be a tent, caravan, spare room etc. and food. To explore further for yourself I have put two web sites below.
