The boot latch thingy on the car (VW GOLF) is not working properly! Does anybody know where in France I can buy a new one. Have found seller’s in UK, but would prefer to get one asap.

You could try Oscaro or one of the other online parts sites, but they probably only sell pieces in greatest demand, but they are cheap.
Why not look on eBay, you can find almost anything, new or secondhand.

Lubrication did not work, it did work on the bonnet, after buying a new part, c’est la vie🤔
