Hi All. Looking for own (?) replacement. After losing a leg can’t do what I used to. Got most domestic chores covered (CCAS) but need some one/firm to do the ongoing maintenance of house and garden. Still have plans to create “centre of (shambolic) tranquility in re-wilded portion of Brittany” but basics need sorting. Interested yourself or able to provide suggestions, please reply. Thanks.

Look for local service à la personne firms. In Brittany there are also probably loads of Brits who offer this sort of thing using CESU.
You might hope so but the reality is proving slightly different. The area of Ille-et-Vilaine seems to be a bit of a desert in this respect. Unfortunately, past use of local services via CESU proved rather expensive and not that good. Will soldier on for a bit before I give up and disappear under the rampant overgrowth!

Have you tried both looking for an individual, and going via an agency? One or other might work better in your patch

Thanks again. Will check these out, probably with the help of my Aide Dom. next week. Suspect the work involved might breach the limit on tax credit (5K dropping to 3K next year?) but it all helps!
