Hi can someone advise me of the process of applying for personal bankruptcy? Also how long does it take etc.
Any advice gratefully received.
From what you’ve said this person has no assets, and no business etc. So I think this would be the procedure

I wonder if there is someone, local, who can run-through/explain this procedure with whoever needs this advice… 
In difficult times, it can be helpful to have someone alongside.
Assistante sociale would be the best best, I think.

Unless somewhere here knows that area well…Go to your Marie (or if this is not where you live, the Marie for the area that is where you need help) and ask to be put in touch with the assistante sociale. If your french is not good then work out what you want to say and put it through google translate and print it out. And take a dictionary with you.
