How to find the last post on a thread

Can someone explain how to find the latest posting on a long thread? I had assumed it would be on the last page but it appears not to be the case. I am trying to follow the thread "Time for Angloinfo to close down?" which is now up to 13 pages, having started about two years ago. The latest posting I can find is from October 2011. Finding it difficult to make much sense of the system.

HI Dave

The last post won't necessarily be on the last page as you can reply to any post within a discussion. All you need to do is turn on notifications within the post and you will be notified via email with a direct link to the new comments as they occur.
