How weird can people get?

I don’t know if this is real but I always thought you can’t make a cat perform, so maybe true at least it seems very lovely to me

Exactly

Sorry, ladies, I was talking about the Oxford comma, not commas in general.

I always thought it would have been a good title for an NRA guide to dining out.

The use of AI will increase brain rot. We don’t need even more of that right now!

I didn’t know the Oxford comma was a giveaway. However, using the em-dash (—) is concidered a sign of AI.

It’s a shame that those of you who learnt to write properly might be suspected of using AI.

Sad world.

For a jolly good giggle, I asked AI to rewrite my comment above in a really AI-y way. This is what it came up with. I feel like it’s now taking the piss out of me

“Rewritten Message

The proliferation of artificial intelligence will accelerate cognitive decline, diminishing attention, creativity, and critical thinking—society does not need more of that right now.

I had not realized the Oxford comma could be perceived as a giveaway; nonetheless, the em-dash—used deliberately and frequently—is now widely considered an indicator of AI authorship.

It is regrettable that people who learned to write clearly, precisely, and well are now liable to be suspected of using artificial intelligence.

What a disheartening state of affairs.”

Cocky little shit!

Opportunities…

Ask some AI code generator to write an AI detection app :slightly_smiling_face:

We need to use digital mRNA to counter this scourge. Infect them, neutralise them :slightly_smiling_face:

It could actually be very interesting and great fun. Maybe if I was a bit younger :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I totally agree, I really do not comprend how they are allowed to get away with so much derogatory crap!!!

I got halfway though the 1st paragraph and gave up. It’s valueless in my scale of priorities in what to concern my self about. I have to turn a blind eye and leave others to pick up the pieces…

I agree with @Marie_Smith’s first sentence - The use of AI will increase brain rot. We don’t need even more of that right now!

Elon Musk isn’t helping. Maybe making things worse?

Mr. Musk has said the A.I. companions will help people strengthen their real-world connections and address one of his chief anxieties: population decline that he warns could lead to civilizational collapse.

“I predict — counter-intuitively — that it will increase the birth rate!” Mr. Musk wrote in a post on X in August. “Mark my words.”

In July, the billionaire’s A.I. company introduced two sexually explicit chatbots, pushing a new version of intimacy.

He’s a pillock.

(technical term).

Also he has done quite enough to increase the population of the world by his own efforts.

WTH IS his deal with birth rates anyway? He is one weird man.

He wants more white people in the world, it’s a well-known far right thing.

Unfortunately he has and I think your technical term isn’t technical enough!

:face_vomiting: He’s odious

Er.ma.gerd, Sue. It is the best thing in being able to write a sentence properly, and similar to sliced bread in making a sandwich. (see what I did there?)

He is so far beyond weird now. Creeptacular?

A friend of mine used a phrase when the UK was under the spell of Mr Johnson around Brexit time. She said she could never trust a man who was sexually incontinent. Funny how so many prominent people fit that description

Do you have kids Bonzo? I find it interesting to try (and try is the operative word here) to understand their world. I’ve always considered myself “up to speed”. Being digitally literate has helped (I often wonder how others manage) but the societal changes are accelerating. As Porridge says

yet he’s brazen about being an arse.
