I am very happy to have found this group! I moved to a small village near Perpignan a year ago, after only ever living in big cities, (most recently New York for the last 12 years.).
My 1988 Renault 5 has finally bitten the dust. She served me well, but I'd love for my next car here to be something that I could drive to England and around Europe. The Renault kind of had an unspoken 200km limit!
The 2 big issues are cost and I only drive an automatic. If anyone knows of an automatic for under 3,000euros that is not too far from Perpignan, I'd love to take a look. I like 'hatchbacks', where the backseats fold down and the boot is part of the rest of the car, so that I can load in small furniture and things like that.
