So sad. I see the UN has declared famine in Gaza City. Are governments going to react about this?
I pressed like, to your post even though I actually hate it. To know children have been reduced to wanting to die because the alternative is worse, just sickens and disgusts me. The inhumanity is beyond words.
Yes, a “hear hear” button would be very useful
It is and it is very good that the walls of my room are immune to disturbance and the neighbours are far enough away because my cries of rage at those inhuman creatures who are blind to the recent history of their race are loud and extremely profane. Can that yahoo not see the visions of the Warsaw ghetto and the pitiful sight of Jews fleeing across Europe with their overloaded carts and terrified children without the slightest touch of recognition. The man threatens my health he is so evil.
are you talking about the rock or the hard place?
Even worse is the huge number of Israeli people that appear to be blind to the atrocities being carried out, in their name.
And the Jews of the world, admittedly some who stand up for the right and condemn the savagery, but no way near enough of them, surely they must see what is happening and so close to their own folk memories.
I guess people just see and hear what they want to, reality doesn’t come into it, maybe it’s easier that way ![]()
I
I did and it elicited a response.
'je trouve abject de faire payer à des enfants quels qu’ils soient les conflits de leurs parents…
les enfants n’y sont pour rien!!!
c’est la seule opinion qui doit prévaloir quelle que soit la guerre!!!"
To which I responded.
I hope the manager is cleared of any wrong doing.
You’ll need to check the price label of the produce you are buying - or the display box itself.
Country of origin should be there. If in doubt ask at the customer service desk or a person in the produce section and do not take ‘je je sais’ for an answer.
I have stated loudly that I am allergic to Israeli products.
Here’s someone not just commenting but also doing something.
Yes, it’s outrageous Badger. I was going to post it myself this morning but had to go out to an appointment and I’m just back.
Everything Naoise Dolan writes is correct. Irish politicians are, by and large, gutless plonkers. Many of them are too thick to understand the issues and most of the rest don’t care. They are cute hoors (in the vernacular) who survive through clientelism parish pump politics. I could write a book on how shitty they are. ![]()
It’s great that this article has been published in the Guardian today and exposed the hypocrisy of the Irish PM and Deputy PM who cry crocodile tears and thump their craws while actually doing SFA.
I’ve been aware of the war bond issue for quite a while through the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) emails and news letters I receive. It’s a national disgrace, but people are mobilised to take the Government and the bastard that runs the Central Bank on. There have been marches, demonstrations and email campaigns to the PM, Deputy PM and local TDs (MPs). The fight will go on and if they do renew the arrangement I hope there will be serious repercussions.
For example this is just tomorrow’s IPSC agenda.
Tuesday 2nd September
Dublin – 12.30am-2pm, ‘No Genocide Bonds’ protest, Central Bank of Ireland, North Wall Quay**
Kells** – 11.30am, Bective Square, A82 E225
Kenmare – 7pm-8pm, Town Park Railings
Listowel – 6pm-7pm, Town Square
Carlow – 6.30pm-8pm, The Liberty Tree
Galway – 7pm-8pm, Healthcare Workers Vigil, University College Hospital
Waterville -12pm-1pm, Outside Butler’s Arms
Mulranny – 7pm–8pm, Vigil for Palestine, Main Street
Sligo – 8am-9am, Healthcare Workers Vigil, Sligo University Hospital
He’s a report with a few photos showing the scale of the protests.

As for the weapons being transported through Irish airspace, I’m not sure how much can be done about that without UK support, as the airspace is Shanwick (Shannon and Prestwick) to the best of my knowledge. However every US military aircraft that lands at Shannon should be searched. For all we know bombs and missiles that have slaughtered women and children have been transported through Shannon. Another national disgrace.
I’d go myself, but I don’t think they need a 72 year old with a heart condition as a crew member. Though I have my own lifejacket and foul weather gear ![]()
Breaking news…. the IPSC and the people have won. Luxembourg has picked up the dirty business..

A small but important win David @David_Spardo Hit them in the shekels ![]()
All very good news @John_Scully more power to their elbows and let’s hope more countries get on board. USA, we are looking at you.
Israel is occupying Gaza to clean up the crime scene.
True or false? Sounds plausible to me.
State of Siege, by Ahmad Ibsais.

That’s all true in my opinion.
I believe my gut which tells me that Netanyahu & co want a Gaza free of all Palestinians and will go to any length to achieve that end and at the same time escape all consequences.
Yes, it’s the Greater Israel, the one God gave them, and whoever gets in their way will be slaughtered. I’m more worried about jewish fanatics causing WWIII than Putin.
It is not over, by a long way.
Now that all the clapping for Trump is done, what next?
Hamas has requested of Israel, and been refused, heavy equipment to dig for the promised hostage bodies from the ruins of buildings and tunnels in Gaza. Little hope that the promised 28 can be found and returned to Israel, giving Israel ample reason to declare Hamas has not kept their part of Trump’s peace deal. Until these bodies are produced, Israel is going to withhold further deliveries of food aid into Gaza.
Meanwhile, the IDF still managed to shoot 5 Palestinians in the Shejaiya neighbourhood of Gaza City during the amid the ongoing cease-fire.
And settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank continues daily with no intervention by Israeli authorities
It is a good and wonderful thing that 20 surviving Israeli hostages have been safely returned home but for the Palestinian people this is not peace. How will they rebuild all but totally destroyed Gaza? Where will they live through this winter and onwards?
This conflict is by no means over.
