Pity it’s too small for a datacentre.

That rather depends on how much kit you need inside. Several of Three UK’s data centres had roughly that much space.

Yes, I suppose servers are shrinking. I’m a bit out of touch - now this was a server in my day… :slightly_smiling_face:

I worked in a place just like that in the early 1970s. I can still remember the smell of the solvent we used to clean the adhesive residue when we changed the sticky labels on the tape spools.

Probably the globally banned carbon tetrachloride. Very unpleasant stuff. Had to use it for cleaning the heads on telemetry tape recorders in the 1980s as isopropyl alcohol damaged them.

Possibly citrus oil though which is quite good for removing labels

I think they would have remembered the smell of lemon.
