I wonder how many of you remember the EDF refund discussion which appeared around this time last year? I enjoyed reading the various posts which appeared on many ex-pat sites at that time, some of which incuded links to statements from Brussels regarding this. I must admit that my interpretation of these seemed only to inicate refunds to large users such as steel mills rather than those who may have left a light on over the winter! I don't think anyone received a refund but at least it helped La Poste increase its turnover & gave the EDF staff a laugh!
Now it's payback! I have recently received a bill from EDF demanding extra for a bill paid in October 2012. Apparently I was not charged ENOUGH tax on my bill back then. The demand for a refund did not come recorded delivery though.
