As long as you’ve owned the car for at least six months and you’re importing it within 12 months of becoming a French resident TVA will not be due.
There will be a registration charge, which is quite complicated but all worked out automatically by the ANTS website. The site will guide you through the questions, but it’s worth making a note of when you acquired the vehicle and its fiscal horsepower.
