John le Carré was such a wonderful writer and that ability carries through into his letter, extracts published in today’s Guardian. The very first letter in the article - to his wife - magical.
A book I will definitely be buying.

I expect you have read them but if you haven’t Evelyn Waugh and Nancy Mitford’s letters are wonderful.

Thanks for the link Sue. I am sitting here at the moment, half-way through reading Le Carré’s « A delicate truth ». He’s a great writer.
