John le Carré RIP

An interview with le Carré (David Cornwell) that I really enjoyed and an extract from his new memoir.

I’ve always enjoyed his writing. The Spy that came in from the cold was the first “grownup” book I read that didn’t have the happy ending I was used to. I was quite shocked :astonished:

Great author. Love his books and the films made from them.
The Constant Gardener is a very powerful one.
RIP John and thank you for many, many hours of intelligent reading.

A man I thoroughly respected, as an author and as a modest commentator on political issues. I’m not surprised that in his twilight days he did the right thing. Dump Brexit Britain.
