La Poste and parcel from the UK - is this right?

 be gentle with me @billybutcher I am a reformed Philistine !

Friends of ours were so incensed that the truffle Marmite “special” was being withdrawn the bought a whole crate!

T’missus likes the stuff, can’t stand it personally (small amount in the chilli con carne works well though).

Gosh, never heard of that. Marmite truffles ???

We do eat pig-snuffled truffles if friends are feeling generous, but the taste is nothing like marmite

No, truffle Marmite

PS people put chocolate in chilli as well which I can’t see the point of. The trick with marmite (as with most sources of umami) is to use enough to enhance the flavour of the chilli without putting so much in you actually taste the Marmite.

Actually… sometimes when I’m making chocolates I stir a tiny amount of crushed chilli flakes into the melted (very) dark chocolate before the next stage.

The finished goodies are very well received by some of my neighbours, others will only eat 3 or 4 before they tell me that they prefer blah blah blah

Waste of good Marmite.

I am firmly on Team Brewer’s Leftovers here - I have it on my toast every morning for breakfast.

It’s a dish from the country where chocolate comes from. A piece of dark chocolate is the addition used.

Marmite, dead brewers yeast but according to Zoe and Tim Spector still useful for your gut. The toast on the other hand isn’t usually

Apart from this week when I am trying not to annoy my sore mouth, my toast is usually made from multigrain wholewheat bread (i.e. lots of added gravelly bits) so I think my gut likes that.

I didn’t even know there was a truffle Marmite. OH is upset that he missed that.

Did anyone buy the Guinness one when it was around?

No - I am a purist where Marmite is concerned. I did try Marmite-flavoured peanut butter when that was available but was not especially impressed.

I like both but the combination sounds unpleasant.
