I have always disliked Nicholas Parsons.

I pretty much hated “Sale of the Century” but I don’t think that should be used to define an opinion of him. He was much better in JaM where he was essentially doing what he did best - playing the straight man to a bunch of comedians.

JaM is one of those quiz shows which works on multiple levels and, in fact, it is quite hard to talk on a subject for a full minute without hesitation, repetition or deviation even without three other sharp minds trying to spot your mistakes.
