I wish you luck with your search, although I fear you may not get many takers here as Survive France is primarily a forum for those whose first language is English. Nor are we Leboncoin.
However I’m glad to read that you always respect the Loire - so do I, it’s one of my favourite rivers.
Yes, a public place or most any other cafe or park . . . As opposed to inviting people into my home when I don’t know them that well. Does that make sense? I am open minded, so if you had any other forum in mind, please advise. Thanks!
I appreciate your feedback. I have made the corrections, and my thinking was that perhaps some English speakers would know some French people willing to exchange. I posted under what I believe to be a relevant category “Speaking French”. I cannot assume there would or would not be someone interested or that can help. Thanks!
Have you checked out your local Maison des Associations or similar. I’ve seen flyers for ideas such as yours in all sorts of places, Worth investigating I reckon.
Well @AngelaR set up their conversation group, so that can be done too. WhereI am there are conversation groups under the aegis of the université inter-age
Exactly! The MdAss, which I visit every few months, has a table with flyers and the pinboards are covered with “Ideas” … amazing what one can find.
He can surely print something himself and “peg-it”
I live rather too far away to help with French but good luck finding bods who would like to participate. You might get some take-up from people who learn and/or teach English so look at the Bordeaux-Montaigne university campus, and as others have said Maisons des Associations and bookshops (try Mollat and the one Place du Parlement, and weirdly places like BioCoop) they usually have noticeboards where you could leave a flyer. Look on line as well for things like café-langues.
I wish to thank Survive France for admitting me in as a member. It’s a very empowering and informative website / community. There is so much daily learning in all directions when you immigrate from the USA to France. I also express many thanks to those who contributed answers on this question of language exchange . . . .
