Here is a tip. I find that with Yahoo maps you can get a far more detailed map of your locality i.e. with all the lieu-dit names on at the same time than you can with Google maps. It also prints better. This is useful when you begin to meet a lot of local people (within say a 2km radius) that you have never met before because we are all fairly isolated in the countryside. I have printed one off to keep in my handbag!
Just checked and you're quite right. Only prob is you can't do the visualisation thing or can you? I use Google maps and Street View a lot as looking at Street view seems to fix thing better in my mental map.
