The Secret Life of France by Lucy Wadham. I would ignore the negative review on Amazon, from the extracts I’ve read it does what it says on the tin and is well written and amusing. She goes behind the myths about France and examines some areas that the lifestyle magazines would prefer to be hushed up, such as racism. She also agrees with me about the idiocy of the “priorité à droite” and has experience of hot rabbits! By the way, if you check the events for 27.5.11 you’ll see she’s running a week long Prose Clinic/Creative Writing at Gardoussel nr St André de Valborgne.
