Hi, does anyone have any experience of sending out a mailshot in France? I know that on flyers there are certain menions legales that must be included and wondered if there were any for mailshots. Any advice would be welcome
Thanks for the advice
I did mine in 3 sessions, one of which was for 600. I don't think there is a minimum quanity. You should go to your local office and get someone to give you a quote, costs nothing. All you need to know is the postcode and names of villages/towns you are interested in
I was thinking of doing a mailshot but not for so many as 1000. Is the post office offer only for large mailshots?
I have used the Post Office to distribute my flyers, from memory it was something like 15centimes per flyer. It did give a reasonable return but wasn't without hassle as they got some flyers mixed up and delivered them to the wrong villages and they did lose 1200 flyers at one point but they did replace them with colour photocopies.
As the flyers were destined for letterboxes, they didn't need the "ne jeter pas...." mention but they did carry my company registration number and the name of the printer.
No I haven't yet. The legal phrases are 'ne pas jeter sur la voie publique' and 'imprimer par nos soins'. I belong to an association and when we distribute flyers in letterboxes we have to put these two phrases on them, very small and at the bottom. However, I have checked other flyers that come through the mail and they don't always have these on them, so I am not sure in what cases you have to put them.
I am interested in your post office's offer. Are you going to send out a mailshot? I also wondered if people had tried cold calling or had any luck finding networking events - do they exist in France?
